一般说来，all/both/every-+ not =部分否定；none/neither/no-=完全否定；any/either/ any-+not =完全否定。

every-，指那些以 every 开头的复合词，如 - everybody，everything，everywhere，etc.

no-，指那些以 no 开头的复合词，如：nobody，nothing，nowhere，etc.

any-，指那些以 any 开头的复合词，如：anyone，anything，anywhere，anybody，etc.

例如：

All that glitters is not gold.

【译文】并非所有发光的东西都是金子。

Not all guests arrived on time.

【译文】不是所有的客人都准时到达。

None of the guests arrived on time.

【译文】没有一位客人是准时到达的。

I don't know all of them.

【译文】我并非认识他们所有的人。

I don't know any of them.

【译文】他们我一个都不认识。

Not both candidates are qualified to this position.

【译文】两个候选人并非都适合这个职位。

Neither candidate is qualified to this position.

【译文】两个候选人都不适合这个职位。

You cannot agree with both sides.

【译文】你不能两方都同意。

You cannot agree with either side.

【译文】两边你都不能同意。

This kind of plant is not found everywhere .

【译文】这种植物不是在所有的地方都能找到的

Nowhere is this kind of plant found now.

【译文】现在，这种植物在任何地方都找不着。
