动词短语：bring up、put off、make up、make out

短语动词(phrasal verbs)是由「动词+介系词」所组成，因此在同一个动词之后加上不一样介系词，便有了不同含意。例如，你知道「make up」与「make out」的差异吗？

英语老师提出了四个短语动词：bring up、put off、make up、make out，期待你在学会更多短语的同时，能够用更多的词会来形容一个人的行为举止！

1. Bring up 提起；养育、教育、培育

e.g. She brings up a topic. 她提起了某个话题。

e.g. He brought up five children on his own. 他独自带大五个孩子。

2. put off 生气；延迟、拖延

e.g. John put me off.  John让我很生气。

e.g. The boss put off the meeting until tomorrow. 老板将会议延后至明天。

3. make up 编造；补偿

e.g. Don’t make up an excuse. 别再找借口了。

e.g. Let’s make up the picnic!  我们改天再去野餐作为补偿吧。

4. make out 理解；亲热

e.g. I am trying to make out what you’re saying. 我再试着了解你在说什么。

e.g. Kathy made out with Robert in the bar last night. Kathy昨晚和Robert在酒吧里亲热。
