短语动词：pick up、pull up、run into

我们经常会见到的介系词包含up、down、off、out、in……等等，当我们在这些介系词前加上一个动词，便成为短语动词(phrasal verbs)！

英语老师提出了三个短语动词：pick up、pull up、run into。看似简单，却可能有你从没学过的涵义呢！

1. Pick up 拿起某样物品、用汽车搭载某人或接某人、偶然认识某人

e.g. He picked up the phone and started chatting with his friend. 他拿起电话并开始和朋友閒聊。

e.g. Amy will pick up a friend at the airport. Amy将开车到机场去接她的一个朋友。

e.g. Robert picked up a date at the pub. Robert在夜店里认识了他的约会对象。

2. Pull up (使)停下来、搜寻

e.g. The car pulled up to the drive-through. 这台车开到免下车餐馆的车道上停下来。

e.g. She pulled up the information on the Internet. 她在网路上搜寻资料。

3. Run into 碰巧遇到、撞到

e.g. I ran into a friend yesterday. 我昨天碰巧遇到了一个朋友。

e.g. The runner ran into a tree. 那位跑者撞到了一棵树
