In fact, the festival to celebrate love has its history earlier than Saint Valentine. The festival has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia. The ancient Romans celebrated a holiday for love more than two thousand years ago.
Nowadays, people celebrate the festival by giving cards, flower, chocolates, or other presents to their loved ones. The most common symbol of Valentine’s Day is the ‘heart’. Other symbols coupled with this day are pairs of birds and cute teddy bears.
